A new era of inspections is emerging in the high-end Brisbane property market, with a free wine tasting included as a perk of inspecting prestige property.

Ray White New Farm have partnered with local business, Smashing Bottles, to host their first wine tasting evening in the Aurora Penthouse located at 651-655/420 Queen Street Brisbane.

“This penthouse is a spectacular property and it seemed fitting to add a little luxury to the inspection process.

“The wine tasting allows people to really get a feel for the home; it gives them the opportunity to do more than walk around inspecting each room, they get to experience the property in a much more personal way,” Brandon Wortley, selling agent of Ray White New Farm said.

Paul Morgan of Smashing Bottles specialises in boutique premium wines and his portfolio includes around 30 different producers from every wine region in Australia and New Zealand as well as selected wines from France and Italy.

“Partnering with Brandon and the Ray White New Farm team was the perfect fit. Hosting wine tastings in their high-end properties allows the ideal opportunity to showcase some of the country’s most premium wines in a relaxed setting to the right people,” Paul said.

The 300sqm home on the 65th floor of one of Brisbane’s tallest residential buildings, The Aurora Tower commands arguably the best views of Brisbane.

“The apartment has 270 degree views from the south over the Kangaroo Point cliffs around to the east over the Story Bridge and out to Moreton Bay. To the north and north-west, you can see to Victoria Park Golf Course and Mount Coot-tha,” Brandon explains.

The four bedroom, four bathroom penthouse features marble flooring, stylised feature pillars throughout, beautiful open-plan kitchen with SMEG appliances, fully equipped bar with flowing entertaining space, a generous north-facing balcony, ducted air-conditioning and electric blinds.

“It’s one of the most glamorous homes in Brisbane’s CBD and would suit a range of buyers from families to professional couples. From an investment point of view, the apartment will return close to $2,000 per week,” Brandon said.
The current owner of the property, Angela Cominos, says that the size of the penthouse is no longer a necessity,

“We have lived in the building for almost five years now and have enjoyed every second of living here. As a result, we wish to remain in the building for many more years to come.

“We now have adult children and have no major need for an apartment of such scale and have therefore purchased in the building a slightly smaller apartment,” Angela said.

The first wine tasting evening for the Aurora Penthouse will take place on Wednesday, 4 June at 6:30pm. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase wines for significant savings on the evening. All purchases will include home delivery.
