MORE than 250 Ray White auctions are scheduled across Australasia this Saturday, with the buoyant post-election buzz continuing as our agents report an increase in buyers at inspections.

New South Wales takes the cake this Saturday for hosting the highest volume of listings expected to go under the hammer (101), closely followed by Victoria (95) and then Queensland (39).

A post-war deceased estate in the blue-chip Brisbane suburb of Ascot is expected to sell well under the hammer at 11am this Saturday.

The three-bedroom, one-bathroom house on a 554sq m block at 23 Pringle St (above) is opposite popular Ascot State School in one of the area’s most sought after pockets.

“It’s a great block and a post-war home so people can either knock it down or renovate,” Ray White Ascot sales associate Shenal Yigitbas said.

“There’s been enquiries from investors, as well as young couples wanting to get into the Ascot area especially being right across from the school which has been a real selling point.”

Ray White Ascot principal Dwight Ferguson is managing the sales campaign, with experienced auctioneer Phil Parker in charge of the gavel.

North of Brisbane, in the beautiful bayside suburb of Sandgate, is the 2pm auction of an appealing character home within walking distance of the beach, cafes, lagoon, train station and schools.

The two-bedroom, one-bathroom timber house on a 607sq m block has polished timber floors, VJ walls, high ceilings, and a back deck perfect for barbecues while the kids play in the large rear yard.

Ray White Redcliffe’s Catherine O’Keeffe is responsible for the marketing campaign of 11 Verney St (above).

“The house is 120 years old next year, so it’s a character home in Sandgate, and it’s got good potential views to Brisbane city,” Ms O’Keeffe said.

To New South Wales where Ray White Drummoyne’s Chris Wilkins is taking a classic brick family home at 3 Undine St, Russell Lea (above) to auction at 10am with a price guide of $1.675 million.

“Buyers are liking the size, it’s got good views from the back of the property and the location is really great,” Mr Wilkins said.

“It’s also deceptively big with three levels.”

There’s been more than 60 groups through 33 Balmoral Crescent, Georges Hall (above) ahead of its 1pm auction this Saturday.

“It’s on one of Georges Hall’s more premier streets and it’s a cul-de-sac so it’s also quiet,” Ray White Bankstown’s Craig Stephenson said.

“One family has owned the property the entire time, some 19 years. Buyer feedback suggests between $900,000 and $950,000. We have seen more buyers looking post-election...more confidence in people coming and looking at properties, that’s for sure.”

Around 60kms southwest of Sydney’s CBD, at Mount Annan, is the 11am auction of a huge prestige property being taken to market by Ray White Macarthur Group’s Steve Harrison.

The hilltop residence at 29-31 Moyengully Ave (above) offers views over Mount Annan to the north and all the way to Razorback mountain looking south.

Bordered to the rear by the William Howe Regional Park and maintained by the National Parks and Wildlife Service, wallabies and deer are close neighbours.

“The current sales record in Mount Annan is $1.080 million,” Mr Harrison said.

“We’re expecting a massive turnout. This house is about five years old and I remember when it was being built, all the residents thought it was a community centre being built it’s so massive. It’s the best block, the biggest block, the cream of the crop in the area.”

The price guide is $2.3 million to $2.5 million.

To Melbourne where Ray White Gladstone Park’s Malek Younan is taking a contemporary residence in popular Pentridge Village to auction at midday with a price guide of $890,000 to $930,000.

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 5 College Boulevard, Coburg is close to the Merri Creek Trail, Coburg parkland, Sydney Rd shops, cafes and restaurants, public and private schools and public transport.

“It’s a great buy for someone wanting something funky and modern,” Mr Younan said.

“Post-election there’s been a bit more of a positive vibe, and we should see more confidence in our market.”

Meantime, at Glenroy, a private townhouse perfect for first home buyers is going to auction at 2pm

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 3/38 Maude Ave (above) has been listed through Ray White Glenroy’s Sebastian Rello with a price guide of $545,000 to $585,000.

“We’ve had around 40 groups through, mainly young couples, first home buyers,” Mr Rello said.

On Sunday at Sydney’s Palm Beach is the 11am auction of a rare sandstone cottage built by master stonemasons in 1952.

Ray White Prestige (Palm Beach) principal Noel Nicholson has listed 121 Bynya Rd (above) with a selling guide of $2.7 million.

“We’ve had a huge amount of interest in the property, over 80 groups through which at Palm Beach is a high amount,” Mr Nicholson said.

“Because of the sandstone structure, which is really a rare thing, it’s brought interesting people out that really love that type of architecture.”
