With the Spring auction season in full swing the RAY WHITE GROUP is conducting a staggering 542 auctions across Australasia this week.

On this Saturday 274 auctions will take place, with Victoria taking the limelight once again with 110 on their patch, and NSW coming a close second with 96 auctions.

Thousands of people, their hearts beating like drums in their chests, their jaws clenched, and their palms so damp with perspiration that they have to keep wiping their hands so they don't accidentally drop their paddle at the crucial moment, will try and secure their new home so that one day their Saturday's will be spent mowing the lawn and taking their kids to soccer.

In Sydney and the clear winner in the "how many inspections have you had?" game is Ray White North Ryde and agent extraordinaire Janet Fletcher with a rocking 248 (not a typo) inspections for her listing at 25 Beswick Avenue.

With a guide of $1.7m, and eight genuine offers already on the table, this is shaping up to be a cracker.

"People love the house, then they get to the back yard and go 'Wow!" said Ms Fletcher.

Also making the folks smile are the retractable fly screens and the way the blockout blind turns into a projection screen for picnic movie nights.

Now for our weekly dose of gorgeousness; for auction this Saturday is the stately yet genuinely warm-as-toast 5 Warrangi Street, Turramurra.

Forty four groups have inspected already - which is a high number for a property at this price point. What price point is that, you ask? The $4.25m one.

The block is a sweeping, almost totally level 2,600sqm and the house is a study in proportion perfection, with high ceilings, picture rails and banks of bifolds.

Ray White Upper North Shore agent Matt Bolin says there is a 50/50 split between out of area and local buyers - with everyone keen on the great schools and tree lined streets.

The auction of the Federation delight is set for 1pm.

Victoria has so many great auctions this weekend, the only problem is working out which ones to talk about.

A two minute walk from the Werribee railway station is this gorgeous cottage at 24 Railway (go figure) Avenue.

It's only three beds and one bath, but it is dripping in weatherboard cottage charm and has attracted a whopping 119 inspections.

The rooms are spacious and front and back verandas summon weary folk to rest awhile and watch the sun set.

Ray White Werribee agent Nicole Occhibove says the block size at 400sqm is easy care, with most of the space being in the lovely front yard. Perfect for people watching.

Lots of local interest, and also some from those who are very happy to commute out of the CBD to this little patch of peace. It's a lunchtime start, at 12.30pm.

In Vermont, Ray White Forest Hill has a very pretty home that is n the block at 1.30pm. There have been more than 45 groups through, with several on the building and pest inspection path.

The three bedroom house at 26 Carinya Rd is interesting in layout, with good bones - but a pretty ordinary kitchen, which is good news for buyers who always like finding fault in order to make a low bid.

As we know, that is not always successful, but a partial reno always draws more bees to the auction honey pot.

The guide here is $830-$890,000, Hugh Francis will be calling the shots for agent Shaun Perumal at 1.30pm.

Mill Park has a beauty this Saturday with 98 inspections and 7 registered bidders , and very likely a range of studious folk, keeping a close eye on 42 Blamey Avenue.

Besides a good dose of street appeal, the three bedroom house is walking distance to RMIT, and just 8klms from La Trobe.

With a midday start Ray White Mill Park's Kon Kouvos is expecting such a good crowd he's fearful they might block off the street.

To Adelaide and with the memory of this years Bathurst 1000 still a fresh, the address of this property was cause enough for a second look.

Ray White Norwood's Nick Borelli is taking 19A The Driveway, Holden Hill to auction in Saturday.

As it turns out the house is very attractive to potential buyers with 25 groups inspectin ng during the campaign, drawn to the near new status (one owner, built 2017), and easy care design.

Start your engines at 2.30pm.

In Brisbane and Hendra has a jewel (triple gable facade! Oh be still my beating heart) to auction on Saturday. The perfectly renovated 32 Lilley Street is a four bedroom home that invokes the Hamptons style with exposed truss work and lots of white against dark timber floors.
Families will bidding their socks off for this one, which is being brought to auction by Brandon Wortley of Ray White New Farm at 1.30pm.

With a love of all things Australian we are drawn to this auction of The Big Barra at 12 Stewart Road, Daintree.

Listed with the great team Jenna Chamberlain at Ray White Port Douglas this property has it all; a restaurant, a gallery, a residence and a whopping Big Barra sculpture. It's in the heart of town, and has a rich history that is well presented on the Ray White listing.

The auction is this Saturday at 10am (before it gets too hot), and we really hope it goes swimmingly.
