The Ripple effect
A top 20 agent.
A top 20 agent. Top five female agent. One half of a partnership that sold ten properties in the last two weeks and boasts a listing clearance rate of 98 percent. And with only three years experience.
Ripple Wu’s ascent from hairdressing student to top salesperson in her branch and Area Manager of Ray White Blackburn has been the stuff of real estate fairytales.
Born and raised in China, Ripple came to Australia in 2006. Straight out of high school and with limited english skills, she studied hairdressing before working as a full time hairdresser.
Ripple’s journey as a talented agent began in March 2010 when she joined Ray White Blackburn as a sales assistant. Her talent was soon realised and after only one year she became an agent.
Last year Ripple was a top 20 agent and number five female agent in Ray White Victoria.
Her business mantras are very simple, based around honesty, trust and providing expert advice.
“Building mutual trust with your clients is the best way to grow your business. If you always tell your clients the truth and be honest to them, you’ll be rewarded,” Ripple said.
“When I devoted myself to the real estate market, I made sure that I kept learning all that I could from my work.”
“During the selling process, many clients can be held back with hesitation. It is then that I draw on what I have learnt professionally and provide them with direction to help in their decision making.”
Ripple works in partnership with fellow Ray White Blackburn agent Allan Smith. Together they make a formidable team, who in the last two weeks sold ten properties and recently celebrated achieving a record 98 percent clearance rate of their listings.
As a bilingual agent, speaking mandarin and english has ensured Ripple’s relevancy to Chinese and Australian clients as well as giving her service added depth. This was reflected when she won the Nunawading Rotary Club’s 2013 Pride of Workmanship Award in May last year in recognition of her service to the community.
Having only been in real estate for three years, Ripple’s promising career is sure to take her to Alan White Elite Performer status. For now her ambition is to become the City of Whitehorse’s number one agent.
“Ray White Blackburn is my first full time real estate job, it is very meaningful for me. I’m thankful to Peter Schenck (Ray White Blackburn Principal) for giving me this opportunity to do what I love.”
