Architecturally designed with intricate attention to detail, this Hillarys’ property was design-led by vendor, Leanne McNally, to make living easy for the family.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 41 Barbados Turn, Hillarys is located in the exclusive Harbour Rise development.

“I am a very practical person so I thought carefully about the design and where to place things so that the house was user friendly with good flow and feng shui . I tweaked it many times to perfect it,” said Ms McNally.

“There are so many little features throughout that people will appreciate, such as a recycling chute so you don’t have to go outside, Valet ducted system with vacuum sweep inlet in the kitchen, a great laundry area and loads of storage. Another feature is sashless windows in the living room so you can stand and talk to people in the pool.”

“It has all those technical things: smart-wiring, Foxtel and FTA to all living areas and bedrooms, CCTV DVR and you can answer the front door from any telephone in the house,” she said.

“The garage also has plenty of storage and space for a workshop.”

With four different living areas, the property is designed with space and versatility in mind.

“We have a large area downstairs that we used as a home office, it has a kitchenette, so combined with the guest bedroom and ensuite it could be a guest suite with the nanny or the granny in mind,” said Ms McNally.

“And there are glass stacking doors between the main living area, alfresco and outside. You can close the outer doors and have a huge interior entertaining space that’s air conditioned or close the inner doors and have a more intimate house that’s easy to heat.”

“Lifestyle and entertaining-wise, it’s fantastic,” she added.

“It’s close to the beaches, Hillary’s Boat Harbour and Sorrento Quay. There are lovely bike and walking paths all the way along the coast.”

Despite selling, Ms McNally and her husband are staying in the area.

“We built the house to suit our lifestyle at the time. The kids moved on and we decided this is too big for us now and another family could enjoy it, so we have put it on the market and moved down the road. We didn’t give up the lifestyle.”

According to selling agent, Daryl Green of Ray White North Quays, the five-year-old home is one of the best in the Harbour Rise development.

“It’s only five houses from the beach and has a wonderful presentation. It’s a real credit to the owners,” he said.

“The chef’s kitchen is one of the standout features: Miele appliances, two ovens - electric and steam, a salamander, induction and gas cooktops and a warming drawer. And there’s a separate walk-in pantry and scullery,” he added.

Located on a quiet street within easy reach of public and private schools, Mr Green believes the home is well-suited to a young executive family,

Other features include four secure car spaces - three undercover, zoned air-conditioning, ceiling speakers throughout and over 10 square-metres of sealed attic space.
