The Adelaide region is home to many great suburbs suited to all types of buyers, renters, or even investors. But one of the best parts of living in or around Adelaide is being able to enjoy a quiet lifestyle so close to the city.

Residents of Pennington know this all too well. After all, the city is only a short 11 kilometres away, giving anyone who lives in this quiet suburb a short, sweet commute for work each day.

Simply hop on one of the many buses that run through the suburb, or head up to nearby Alberton to catch a train to town.

The quiet and tight-knit atmosphere of Pennington makes it a great place for families, and there's certainly a lot of them in this area!

Figures from the 2011 Census identified that 39 per cent of all households in this suburb are made up of couples with children. And there's good reason for it.

Although it's not a huge area, Pennington has three primary schools nestled in the suburb. Whether you choose to enrol your kids in Pennington Primary, Our Lady of Mt Carmel Primary or Pennington Junior Primary, you'll find the daily walk or drive to school isn't far!

The nearby suburbs of Alberton and Woodville both have high schools, too. This means that you won't have to keep moving around to ensure your kids get the education they need.
