Often when people look for a new slice of residential real estate, the growth of an area can be on the forefront of their minds.
Often when people look for a new slice of residential real estate, the growth of an area can be on the forefront of their minds. If this sounds like you, then you might want to cast your eye over to the Western Sydney suburb of Quakers Hill.
Quakers Hill is an area that's largely populated with families, meaning it won't be hard to fit in and find a couple playmates for your kids in your neighbourhood. In fact, recent Census data from 2011 found a large 59 per cent of households in the area are made up of couples with children.
As it's a very family populated suburb, you'll also find great amenities and community facilities to match.
A region that's growing
You might've heard reports about how the government plans to grow the Western Sydney region in the future. One of the more recent announcements for this part of Sydney is the injection of funds into local infrastructure through the 2014-15 budget.
Better roads and a new airport will be things that many Western Sydney residents will be able to enjoy on a daily basis. This means that commuting to the city for work everyday should be so much easier and let you spend more time at home than in your car!
There's also the up-and-coming North West Rail Link, which will bring with it more housing and retail and commercial precincts. Not only will this make Quakers Hill an easier place to get to, but a more enjoyable place to live, too.
Suitable for all types
Quakers Hill has many family facilities on hand to give residents ongoing care and support. You'll find family medical centres, after school care programmes, and even play groups for younger kids.
Access to great education is also something that Quakers Hill residents are fortunate enough to have. Quakers Hill East Primary, Mary Immaculate Primary and Quakers Hill High are just a few minutes away by car for any keen students.
There's also the University of Western Sydney campus on the western edge of the suburb - perfect for investors or families with older high school kids.
Just down the road in the neighbouring suburb of Blacktown, you'll find the fantastic Westpoint Shopping centre. Here you can enjoy a cinema, bowling alley, a gym, food court and a bunch of shops to fill up an afternoon with your friends or your family.
But for anyone who prefers the fresh air and outdoors, Quakers Hill has a handful of parks and reserves sprinkled about the suburb.
