Ray White Ferntree Gully’s Suzanne Conboy and Crystal St Clair are taking part in the 21 Challenge to raise money for Open Family Australia, supporting youth homelessness.

The fund-raiser encourages people to challenge themselves for 21 days — and both women are giving up their favourite vices: chocolate and wine.

"I knew chocolate would be the one thing that would get me. I could eat a block a day if I wanted to. I always sit with a block of chocolate at my desk," Ms St Clair told the Knox Weekly.

Mrs Conboy took her challenge one step further and has given up wine, as well as chocolate, for 21 days.

"I thought that would make it really good. I have a couple of glasses while cooking dinner every night, and at dinner," Mrs Conboy said.

Mrs Conboy said it was important to support Open Family because youth homelessness could "create a vicious cycle".

"It sets the path for the future. Without a place to feel safe they can't take on studies, it's hard to get Centrelink or employment opportunities or a bank account, they can't get dressed for a job interview — it makes everything harder," she said.
