Situated at the bottom of Noosa Heads and not too far out from the big city, anyone can feel right at home in Peregian.

A growing area

It's no wonder why many people crave ocean front living. Who wouldn't want to fall asleep to the sound of the waves and wake up to a beautiful blue vista in the morning? The kind of lifestyle that's on offer in Peregian is a major drawcard for people who want to live here.

In fact, the population of Peregian has grown quickly in only a few years. Census data showed that in 2006 the town was home to only 2,408. Cut to 2011 and the town grew by a large 46 per cent to 3,524.

But it's not just the population in Peregian that's growing. As many people have caught on to the fact that the area's such a great place to live, residential real estate prices have climbed.

Figures from RP Data have shown that over the first few months of 2014, Peregian median home prices have been much higher than the general Sunshine Coast region. In May this year, the median price of a home reached approximately $550,500.

Beachside village with lifestyle to match

Peregian and the Noosa Heads area are known for their stunning beaches, but there are many other outdoor attractions too. Hop on a bike and head to the cycle track from Coolum to Peregian Beach for some afternoon fun. Otherwise, spend a couple of hours biking up to Noosa from Peregian Beach and take in the great views.

In the heart of Peregian Village you'll also find a number of shops and eateries, while at the nearby Surf Life Saving Club you can enjoy regular markets every first and third Sunday of the month.
