The Queensland corporate team and Ray White New Farm are swapping open homes and auctions for the serve and sand next weekend as they take on arch rivals Place in a beach volleyball competition to raise funds for ovarian cancer research.
Now in its fourth year, the Battle Against Ovarian Cancer is Mt Gravatt’s annual fundraiser, drawing teams from across the state, eager to support the cause and claim victory.
“When the call came through that Place had challenged us to a game of volleyball we quickly replied with yes, name the time and place,” New Farm’s Haesley Cush said.
“With the involvement of the Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation it allows us to use our competitive energies to raise money and awareness for a very worthy cause. Training has already begun and it’s fair to say we have a few tricks up our sleeves.”
While Ray White are use to dominating when it comes to selling homes, sadly our $3000 target is a long way off and Place are well on their way to smashing us in the fundraising game.
With ten days to go till we take to the sand, let’s get behind corporate Queensland and New Farm and stick it to this tiny boutique.
