A SYDNEY buyer and helicopter pilot has fought off 15 other registered bidders to own this incredible lifestyle property on the NSW mid-north coast.
The new luxury home at 20744 Pacific Highway, Johns River, NSW, which comes with it’s very own airstrip, hangar, stables and cinema room, sold on Friday for $5.39M in front of 60 people at the Ray White NSW corporate auction room in King Street, Sydney.
The top sale of the week for the Ray White group in Australasia, known as The Lakes in Manning Valley, was set on 176 ha of land, tucked off the Pacific Highway in Johns River, just 30 minutes from Port Macquarie.
The new home was built in November 2018 and the most amazing feature is arguably the 1100m airstrip, which is fully lit, meaning day and night flying is possible.
Listing agent Rob Chapman, principal at Ray White Manning Valley, said the previous owner had used the strip daily and regularly hosted fly-in days for family and friends.
There was 16 registered bidders for the property which was held at Ray White NSW’s corporate auction room in Sydney.
The property also comes with a hangar that can house up to seven aircrafts, while the property also comes with some of the finest equine facilities including stables, a round yard and arena.
The contemporary house itself is just as special, with the elevated aspect providing amazing views of the surrounds, a custom-built theatre, a gym and fully decked out bar with an internal garage and a cool roadway painted on the floor.
Mr Chapman said there had never been a property of this calibre go up for sale in the region.
“The great thing about this successful campaign, was it has now put Manning Valley on the map. There was 542,000 page impressions on the portals for this property. I had 242 inquiries and conducted 34 inspections with three offers prior,” Mr Chapman said.
“We had interest from Victoria, NSW, QLD, Tasmania and South Australia plus there was six different expats in Hong Kong who were interested, plus another expat in the Middle East who was interested too.
“Manning Valley is firmly on the list now for buyers looking for a lifestyle property. The eventual buyer is from Sydney, and he flies a helicopter. I understand he will use the property as a weekender at the moment.” Across Australia and New Zealand , there were 11,569 people attend 239 auctions.
Ray White NSW Chief Auctioneer Alex Pattaro said crowd attendance and registered bidders remained high and consistent across the state.
“Crowd attendance is sitting at 45 attendees per property and registered bidders hovering around four per auction. It appears that there are plenty of prospective buyers among these crowds too. It will be very interesting to see the psychology of buyers post election now,” Mr Pattaro said.
