‘Jesmond Station’, Charters Towers, was sold under the hammer this morning for an impressive $8.25 million.

The sale marked another outstanding result for Ray White Geaney Kirkwood, following an extremely well-run and competitive campaign. The property attracted 42 interested parties, with 12 registered bidders and six actively competing on the day. The auction drew a strong crowd of around 50 attendees at the Townsville Yacht Club, creating an electric atmosphere as bidding unfolded.

Interest came from across the spectrum - from entry-level graziers eager to enter the market, to established local landholders looking to expand. In the end, it was well-known graziers Reg and Bev Pedracini of Prestwood Station, Georgetown, who secured the property, adding another blue-chip holding to their portfolio.

The auction was conducted by Matthew Geaney, with Liam Kirkwood leading the marketing campaign.

Principal Liam Kirkwood said the result reflected the team’s consistent performance and the strength of their auction strategy.

“The momentum from our recent successful campaigns of Glencoe and Brookdale flowed through to Jesmond, and we’re proud to have achieved another standout result, setting a new benchmark for the district,” Liam said.
