Local real estate, Ray White Kingsland are proud to be bringing families closer together in the tight-knit community of Western Springs.

Known affectionately as “the locals” the family-owned business recently sold two properties to two sisters: 1/37 and 2/37 Finch Street, Western Springs

“The homes are new builds and the developer is someone that lives in the area - we sold him his house ten years ago and we sold him this land about 12 months ago which he developed into two family homes,” said Ray White’s Tim Hawes.

On the first weekend of open homes, two sisters local to the area and their respective families inspected the properties and fell in love with the homes.

“We’ve known the families for a long while and their third sister lives next door to the new Finch Street properties, in a house we also happened to sell to them.

“The two other sisters currently live a few streets away and were very interested in the properties - they’d probably never get another chance to all live next to each other in Western Springs,” Tim explains

Tim and his team immediately went to work appraising the sisters’ current homes.

“We needed to figure out if we would have to sell their current homes first. We began talking to potential purchasers on our database - we knew we had to move quickly.”

In a great result, and in partnership with colleague John Schumacher of Loan Market, the Friday before the first auction the sisters got their finance approved and were able to keep their existing homes.

“The sisters both presented an offer on each of the homes and of course our vendor accepted the pre-auction offers as it meant both homes were sold unconditionally. It was a great result for both buyer and seller and we’re thrilled to be able to help a local family come closer together,” tim concludes.
