'Lyrebird Gully' - A Unique Rainforest Retreat

The house within its rainforest site of one acre has been nurtured with only the endemic plants - all natural to the area. The site is also surrounded by hundreds of hectares of rainforest and yet it is only 15 minutes from facilities, beaches and townships of Gerringong and Berry.

The rainforest site - off-grid - is free of weeds with virtually no maintenance required. The solar panels installed above the roof-top, within the sunshine zone, and aligned with a lithium battery bank, provide power to the house and the need to generate is largely deleted.

The renovated house includes a large timber deck - ideal for entertaining and solar panels provide power to facilities including television, a dishwasher, a 240v fridge etc. and NBN is connected - allowing work from home.

Retired landscape architect Bruce Mackenzie AM has owned and nurtured the site for 25 years and turned it into a truly unique rainforest preservation. Unique - not only in Australia but also on a world-wide basis."
