As a major sponsor of the event on 17 May, Ray White Inverloch rallied together with the community to raise an incredible $26,600 for the Go Girls Foundation - smashing their initial target of $20,000.
The Go Girls Foundation delivers life-changing support to local women facing severe hardships, including unemployment, domestic violence, social isolation, mental health challenges, and homelessness.
Operating in small, focused cohorts of 10 to 16, the program pairs participants with dedicated mentors and facilitators.
Together, they work to unlock confidence, build job-ready skills, and empower women to safely explore their dreams and reclaim their futures.
For Ray White Inverloch principal Fiona McMahon-Hughes, the cause hits incredibly close to home.
Beyond her corporate sponsorship, Fiona serves actively as a mentor and ambassador for the program, witnessing its profound impact first-hand.
“I am privileged to be able to see and support a programme that helps local women prosper,” Fiona said.
“I love to support this program because of the ripple effect that comes from changing just one woman's life.”
The charity golf day was a mix of friendly competition and immense generosity, Fiona said.
Beyond the 18 holes, attendees generously supported the cause through a lively barbecue, afternoon tea, raffles, and silent auctions.
Fiona said the funds raised will ensure the Go Girls Foundation can continue its vital work within the South Gippsland region.
“These charity days are so important because programs like these need funding to continue doing the amazing work that they do,” she said.
