With six generations of local knowledge and proven success in the local real estate industry, now backed by Australasia’s largest real estate company, Clancy Adams is set to take the Gympie region to new heights.
The 25-year-old quickly climbed the ranks in the real estate industry, since entering it the day he turned 18. After working on reception at a local agency, he decided to try his hand as a buyer’s agent and eventually became a successful listing agent.
Before the age of 21, he was transacting more than 50 properties per year and eventually made the move to becoming a principal and opening his own agency.
“I realised that none of the agencies in the area were for me, so at age 21, I decided to make the leap into opening my own agency,” Mr Adams said.
After Mr Adams was approached by Adrian Knowles from Ray White Rural, he felt that this group was going to be the best fit for him to provide the highest possible level of service to his clients.
“It became clear to me that the brand really does speak for itself and the company goal is to make it so much easier for us to be good at what we do.
“I believe the Ray White brand is exactly what my team and I need to amplify our careers,” he said.
Gympie is a town of about 30,000 people in the Wide Bay Burnett district about 160km north of Brisbane. The housing is characterised by anything from duplex units in the centre of the city to farming property.
“The region has so much potential and is perfect for families looking for that rural lifestyle and the activities that come with it; fishing, four-wheel driving, national parks, and only a 50 minute drive to beautiful Noosa” he said.
“I come from a long line of Gympietes, as we jokingly call ourselves!” Mr Adams said.
Mr Adams comes from a fifth generation family of builders in Gympie, and he was the first to break the mould and move into the real estate industry instead.
“My true passion lies in real estate so this is the path I decided to take… and I absolutely love it,” he said.
Richard Murray, the existing business owner, will stay on as a salesperson in the business, and the pair are very excited to now be working in partnership together.
“Our whole team are generational Gympietes and the core leadership team are all young, enthusiastic, tech savvy and eager to learn,” he said.
Mr Adams said his key goal over the first 12 months in business to continue building and improving on what they already have, and providing their clients with an exceptional level of service.
“It has been a rough 12 months with bushfires, droughts, elections and then the coronavirus but we want to keep striving to be better and driving forward.”
Mr Adams said that he also was looking at diving deeper into the acreage and rural space, which he believes Ray White Rural can provide the tools to do so.
"We have focused quite heavily on the houses in town in the past, but I am looking forward to expanding my market share into the rural market place as well,” Mr Adams said.
“Gympie has been very good to me and has given me everything I have ever needed, and I am looking forward to giving that back to the community through our real estate services” Mr Adams said.
Ray White Rural Managing Director Stephen Nell congratulated Mr Adams on becoming Principal of Ray White Rural Gympie.
“We are incredibly proud that Clancy has decided to come and join the Ray White family. He is a fantastic operator and I personally am very excited to see what he and his team will achieve for their local community in Gympie,” Mr Nell said.
“Clancy brings genuine expertise and local knowledge to his market, especially at such a young and impressive age, and we look forward to supporting him as he continues to provide the best possible service to his customers.”
