For the first time since it was built in 2004, a palatial Dural residence known as ‘Waddeton Lodge’, is on the market with a price tag around the $5m mark.
The property, located at 776 Old Northern Road Dural, is set upon eight acres of land and is on the market through Sandy Ward of Ray White Dural.
“This is a magnificent estate of palatial proportions. The owners had the residence built in 2004 with this in mind - they wanted, spacious and well proportioned rooms,” Sandy explains.
The current owner, Marie Christine "Kiki" Studdy and her late husband, the former chairman of Goodman Fielder and National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Australia, John Studdy, purchased the land in 2004 for $1.75m. Construction began in the same year and the home was occupied in November 2005.
“What they created was a four bedroom home with extravagant features including marble floors in the foyer, French oak floors in the living areas and a travertine marbled barbeque and entertainment area.
“In the bedroom wing, you have four bedrooms which each have ensuites with heated floors and walk-in robes.
“The master suite features double antique timber doors fireplace and retreat, split ensuites and two dressing rooms. The master opens out to a private garden, with citrus orchard and reflection pond,” Sandy said.
Leaving no luxury overlooked, the grand residence also features a chef’s kitchen, formal dining room, winter lounge room with an open fire, gym and home theatre.
“When the owners built this home they created a stylish and opulent home. They thought to include everything you could ever need - it’s truly a property where you’ll want for nothing,” Sandy said.
Set well off the main road, Waddeton Lodge provides privacy and security. Outside, the property features landscaped grounds, alfresco courtyards, a pool and dam.
Waddeton Lodge is for sale by negotiation and Sandy Ward can be contacted to arrange an inspection of the home.
