The market is absolutely flat out this week, with the RAY WHITE GROUP holding 695 auctions, of which 383 are being held this Saturday.

Buyers are hyped up by both the lack of stock, and strong media coverage this week, all of which will guarantee a Christmas cracker of a weekend on the block.

Ray White Upper North Shore is working at full capacity at the moment - they have quite a few auctions this Saturday and this one at 50 Moore Street, Roseville is up at 4.30pm - one imagines they are going for the flattering late afternoon lighting . I know I always do.

Everywhere you look it’s green, green, green - and that path way? Oh my gosh. And then there’s the house! The guide price is between $3.5-$3.85m, and there is a lot, a lot, to like here.

Agent Lisa Davies has had a 131 groups through in just over two weeks, a reflection of the quality home and the top location.

“In this particular pocket, there is little stock available, and nothing of this calibre,” said Ms Davies. “And as you can see, absolutely everything is done which is really appealing to the market,”

Smart buyers will check out 12 Valewood Crescent Marsfield, it is on the block at 2pm with the lovely Janet Fletcher of Ray White North Ryde.

On a corner block, and just a short walk to Woolworths, and Macquarie Uni, freshly painted and full of sunlight - it ticks a lot of boxes.

With 107 inspections, and 26 contracts issued this pretty four bed, one bath home is at the top of quite a few buyers Christmas wish lists.

Despite offers prior, the home is still progressing to auction, with a price guide of $1.5-$1.6m, and even more outstanding is that half the proceeds of the sale are being divided between three charities

To Ray White Carringbah and the short but very active campaign that has been held for 8 Meldrum Avenue in Miranda.

Wendy Samrani is the agent here and she reports a great amount of interest, and even though it's only been on the market for a couple of weeks she has already issued 15 contracts.

The vendors have only had the property a year, but with a new baby on the way have decided to up stakes and head towards their family in Queensland.

A 558sqm level block in a cul de sac has families, especially first home buyers, on the hop. It's a 10.30 start for this one.

In Victoria and a brand new and eye catching, the four bedroom property at 14 Robertswood Close in Doncaster East has had 80 groups through to date, and a good turn out is expected on the day of auction.

As striking as the property itself is, there's more to be admired; the home is in an elite paved cul-de-sac and owners have use of a community tennis court. Plus families are keen on being inside the East Doncaster Secondary College zone,

Ray White Manningham's Roland Rentz is taking this one through to auction at 1.30pm.

Over to Cheltenham's Kevin Chokshi who says many of the 66 groups who have inspected 10 Correa Ave, Cheltenham have been up-sizers, looking for that extra space which they certainly find here.

"There have been six multiple inspectors," says Mr Chokshi, " and we've issued 10 contracts."

The property has had the roof space converted to create a full size master suite, which is always a temptation for parents who can always add a gate and padlock on the ground level.

For fans of big skylights, this home has some fabulous examples.

Lovely level grounds, with an inground pool - the guide here is $1.15-$1.25m, with Mr Chokshi taking names and numbers from 2.30pm.

And for those buyers looking for a hobby over the holidays - here is a project. Situtated in Ringwood, 2 Inez Avenue could be brought back from the brink.

On 664sqm, the three bed, one bath house with garage has a guide of just $675,000, which is tempting for renovators and land developers.

Fifty groups have been through so far and agent Chris Watson of Ray White Ringwood is expecting between 5-7 bidders for the 10am auction.

Absolutely drop-dead-gorgeous is the best way to describe this apartment in Brisbane. Getting up for work would be such a pleasure if you had this to look forward to each day. The three bedroom apartment is found at 13/202 Bowen Terrace in New Farm.

Nicholas Given has the penthouse listing, with interiors designed by Fellow Interiors, and measuring an impressive 143sqm in floor space.

"We've had 100 groups through so far, it has been really busy every open with this one," says Mr Given. "I would expect a minimum of five bidders here on Saturday."

The property is within 30 metres of direct lift access to Howard Smith Wharves, short walking distance to the river walk, CBD and everything you could possibly want for a very chic lifestyle.

One would expect a lot of 'lookers' for this auction, just to be able to check out that view. The hammer is being raised at 10am.

Upsizing now to the five bedroom house at 47 Thirteenth St in Kedron. Brand new and beautiful, with open living space that is truly big enough for a five bedroom home - which is not always the case.

The grounds are very attractive and include a great pool and still more outside space for easy living.

Kedron is doing really well at present, and this property has a good chance to be a record breaker this weekend, according to Ray White Wilston's Alistair Macmillan.

It's a lunchtime special with a midday start.

To Adelaide now and this very pretty street. Ray White Norwood's George Kargiotis has this two bedroom terrace listing at 18 Frederick Street, Maylands.

"We've had 46 groups through so far," says Mr Kargiotis, "which is a lot for this area. And we're expecting six bidders to register on the day."

The inspectors have been mostly young couples looking to get their foot on the ladder, and a few who are more of the professional renovator type who live in the house while they do the work - a recipe for misery for many, but not all it would seem.

It's a 10am start here, but the doors open at 9.30am.

A triple gable! How beautiful is this three bedroom darling at 137 Long Street, Queenstown in South Australia? And she's over a 100 years old.

Ray White Port Adelaide's Nick Psarros has this listing that is rich in details such as the coffered ceilings, Victorian detailing and modern goodies such as the 900mm cooker. Forty groups have inspected so far, which bodes well for a good auction.

The home has been superbly renovated - it's one of those listings where you look at the pictures again and again because there is so much to see.

Mr Psarros will be auctioning this one in the cool of the afternoon, at 4pm and is expecting three bidders (at least) to attend on the day.
