RAY WHITE, Australia's largest property group, is presiding over 167 scheduled auctions this weekend, with Victoria in the lead with 68, followed by NSW (42) and Queensland (31).

Sydney’s Upper North Shore offers tranquility and very often a lovely green canopy - but that tranquility has been disturbed at 26 Campbell Ave, Normanhurst (pictured above).

Ray White Turramurra agent Anna Cavill has been flat out handling 115 inspections and issuing 23 contracts (so far).

The three-bedder has loads of space, high ceilings, a pool and a rather classic street frontage.

The attraction could also be the price guide of $1.27-$1.4M, which makes it a do-able entry into the blue ribbon area. It’s an after-lunch special at 3.30pm.

Inner City is also offering some action - with 11/7-9 Tupper Street (pictured above) in Enmore going under the hammer at 10.00am.

Astrid Joarder of Ray White Surry Hills has seen very encouraging interest in the two-bedder, which has a guide in the $700,000s range, and has recorded a pretty amazing 217 inspections.

The kitchen alone gets a big tick - plus trendy locale.

Resort living without the resort price tag is what is drawing in folks to inspect 34/30-34 Greenoaks Ave, Cherrybrook (pictured above).

Ray White Cherrybrook’s Pearly Poh Wong reports 90 groups through so far, and several offers have already been made, however the vendor is keen to go through to auction.

The three-bedroom townhome is set in lovely gardens - including private space - and then there is the big ticket items of the communal pool and tennis court.

Ms Wong says she is quoting an area-relative price guide of between $700,000 and early $800,000's and is pretty there will be at least two bidders on site for a 2.30pm start.

And in Wentworthville, 250 people have inspected this three-bedroom home (pictured above) at 29 Hudson St.

Ray White Parramatta agent Amit Nayak has also issued over 30 contracts and expects a very active crowd to attend the 1.00pm auction.

The area, according to Mr Nayak is very family-centred, with adult children looking to buy near their parents, which accounts for the high first-home buyer turnout.

It is in Queensland that we find our dose of history; 122 Beaconsfield Terrace, Gordon Park (pictured above) has been in the one family for 95 years.

The original owner was a stonemason, and his handmade pathway, created with Camp Mountain Granite, is still leading visitors to the front door.

Fun fact: Camp Mountain Granite is also what is used in the foundations of Brisbane City Hall.

Under a few decades of updates lies the original home’s good bones. Certainly new owners will be keen to restore the front veranda, though no work is needed to appreciate the view and the land.

And in Carindale, a very up-market, super-contemporary home is going to auction at 2.00pm.

Ray White Coorparoo’s Bruce McIntyre says the home has seen more than 60 groups through, with seven or eight keen to make pre-auction offers, all of which have been rejected on principle.

If the pool, cabana and external cooking zone isn’t enough of a wow factor, then the fact that 12 Currumbin Place (pictured above) falls within the popular Mansfield Public High School catchment might seal the deal.

Can you imagine going to the doctor's office and sitting by the roaring fireplace to have a chat about your woes? Or that strange rash? Let alone stripping off?

That is what Ray White Ballarat is offering this weekend at 707 Mair Street (pictured above).

A very large home has been working as a medical practice - while retaining some really homey charms such as two fireplaces.

Positioned close to two major hospitals, it is attracting inspections both from health practitioners as well as those considering converting the property back to a large home.

The listing has a guide of $685-$735,000 and the doctor will be seeing bidders at 11.00am, no appointments necessary.

Coincidentally, and still in Ballarat, a gym/hot yoga studio is up for auction, and is also ripe for conversion from commercial to residential.

The former St Columbas Hall at 820 Armstrong Street North (pictured above) goes under the hammer at 1.00pm, and is also with Ray White Ballarat.

Closer to the big smoke and South Morang has a popular one; a freestanding three-bedder in a quiet pocket of the area (pictured above).

According to Nick Petrovski of Ray White South Morang, the home at 57 Green Ave is in a top position, being close to LaTrobe University and not far from the CBD, so is appealing to residents and investors - with an expected rental return of around the $400 week.

The guide for the auction is at $550,000-$600,000, which goes a long way to explain the high number of inspections, which are at around 70 at the time of writing.

It’s an 11.00am start, which leaves ample time to get a couple of coffees under the belt before the first bid is called.

Over at Ray White Norwood in South Australia and agent Nick Borrelli has an easy-care Croydon family home that ticks lots of boxes; level block, fully renovated, fully fenced and on the corner.

No wonder there have been consistent numbers at the three opens.

Currently tenanted at $390 a week, 4 Stevens Street (pictured above) is offering a safe bet for investors, though Mr Borrelli says first-home buyers are looking at this as a good entry point.

On top of that is the great convenience (and fun) of having electric entry gates on both street frontages, and a feature stone facade. It’s a late starter at 4.00pm.
