Under the hammer this Saturday
MORE than 230 Ray White auctions are expected to take place this Saturday across the country, as our agents get back to work after an enormous 2018 Connect conference on the Gold Coast.
MORE than 230 Ray White auctions are expected to take place this Saturday across the country, as our agents get back to work after an enormous 2018 Connect conference on the Gold Coast.
It’s a considerable rise in the number of Ray White listings going under the hammer compared to last Saturday when 175 auctions were scheduled.
The Ray White Group Auctions Report also shows last Saturday’s highest residential sale was the $3.3 million contract on a Bilinga beachfront house, managed by Ray White Mermaid Beach sales agent Troy Dowker.
Mr Dowker has another popular Gold Coast property going under the hammer this Saturday, as one of 47 Ray White properties up for sale on the day across Queensland.
The Sunshine State’s auction volume is only eclipsed by Victoria (105) and New South Wales (69).

At 11.30am, Mr Dowker is taking a block of units (above) at 50 Tallebudgera Drive, Palm Beach to auction.
The complex of four apartments is on one title and provides a current gross rental return of around $2,160 per week when all units are tenanted.
“The new owner could benefit from all four income streams or lease three units while utilising the other,” Mr Dowker said.
“If you have a large family and you're looking for multiple self-contained accommodation, then this would be an ideal family compound.”

Also on the Gold Coast, this Saturday is the 11am auction of a sprawling acreage property (above) at 74 Nijinsky Way, Willow Vale.
The 2.38ha parcel of land is within an hour's drive of both Brisbane and Coolangatta, and only minutes to the new Westfield Coomera.
Ray White Surfers Paradise’s Henk Schreurs said the five-bedroom, three-bathroom home had attracted a variety of buyer including people wishing to relocate from interstate, and those with horses.
“It’s having the feeling that you are 100kms away yet being so close to the growth areas of Coomera and Pimpama,” Mr Schreurs said.

In Brisbane, a charming character home (above) is available to buy at midday when auctioneer Haesley Cush calls for bids.
Ray White Spring Hill’s John Flahey said 53 Rockbourne Tce, Paddington was an original 1930s cottage which had been updated by the seller.
“The appeal is the location within the Paddington community as well as the scope it offers to improve down the track,” Mr Flahey said.
“Young executive couples are looking and there have been around 100 people inspect the property during the auction campaign. It’s always a strong solid market in Paddington, it’s the lifestyle and it’s so close to everything. A lot of people are loving the property because, for them, it’ll be a long-term investment.”

Also in Brisbane is the 2.30pm auction of an award-winning residence (above) on the Brisbane River.
Ray White New Farm and Spring Hill principal Matt Lancashire is overseeing the sales campaign of 105 Ryan St, West End.
Designed by Conrad Gargett Riddel, the striking family residence is a quick bike ride to the West End markets, South Bank, art galleries, parks and trendy cafes.

Up north, in Cooktown, Ray White Middle Park’s Dan Kerridge is preparing for an 11.30am auction of a family home (above) with river views and a swimming pool.
The property at 117 Hope St is walking distance to the town and only 1.5kms from the esplanade.

If waterfront in New South Wales is what you’re after, 38a Marsden St, Kiama is going to auction at 11am.
The small strata two-storey duplex (above) is ideal for retirees or to use as a holiday retreat, according to Ray White Kiama director Michele Lay.

Closer to Sydney and at 12.45pm, Ray White Woollahra’s Clay Brodie is taking 50 Boundary St, Paddington to auction with a price guide of $1.85 million.
“The property is a corner block and only attached on one side,” Mr Brodie said.
“It resembles a semi-style layout rather than your conventional Paddington terrace house.”
Only 2kms from the CBD, the home (above) occupies a coveted lifestyle address on the border of Darlinghurst and Rushcutters Bay.

Around 40kms south-east of Melbourne’s CBD is the 9.45am auction of a large family acreage home (above) in a tightly-held residential pocket.
The five-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 19-20 Sirius Place, Narre Warren South is available to buy for the first time in almost 20 years and has an indicative selling price of $1.2 million to $1.32 million.
“It’s a three-and-a-half minute drive from the second largest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere,” Ray White Pakenham’s Gavin Staindl said.
“You’ve got the best of both worlds, a country rural lifestyle feel with the ability to access urban amenities. In terms of Sirius Place, this would be the first sale in around 18 years in the street and ironically, the last house to sell was this one. When people move into this area and street, they realise how good it is and don’t want to move.”

North of Melbourne’s CBD at midday, a home just over 12 months old is going to auction at 5 Augusta Drive, Wollert.
Ray White Epping’s John Metaxas said the four-bedroom, two-bathroom house (above) had drawn a good level of interest with a price guide of $620,000 to $682,000.
“It’s set on a 480sq m block in a growing part of Wollert,” he said.
“The clients have purchased in another area so are keen to sell and it’s a really impressive home that I believe will sell on Saturday.”

At 2pm, Ray White Craigieburn’s Trish Orrico is managing and calling the auction of 31 Dashing Rd, Craigieburn (above).
“The home was built three years ago but no one has ever lived in the property,” she said.
“It’s only ever been a display home and that’s what’s attracting a lot of people to it. It’s the extra features like the ensuite, butler’s pantry and walk-in storage room. The quality of it sets it apart.”
Ms Orrico has attached a price guide to the four-bedroom, two-bathroom property of $640,000 to $695,000.
