THE Ray White Group is taking more than 250 properties to auction across the country this Saturday, including a transformed original farmhouse just 8kms west of Brisbane’s CBD.

The Hamptons-style renovated family home at 9 Watercress Place, The Gap (above) was once the farmhouse of the Watercress Farm Estate, and now features multiple living and entertaining zones to capture the best aspects of the leafy landscape.

There’s also a tennis court, swimming pool, spa and playground.

Ray White Paddington’s Judi O’Dea is taking the 2,545sq m property to auction at 10am.

“I laugh because about three-quarters of The Gap have looked at it, half of Ashgrove and half of Samford,” Ms O’Dea said.

“They’re loving the quality of the home, the elevation of the site and yet the land is flat and usable.

"They also love the tennis court. I’ve got buyers who will only buy a property with a tennis court.

"It’s just an outstanding property, state of the art, and some lucky purchaser is going to get to live in this wonderful home.”

Ms O’Dea is also taking a large family home with rare mobility access to auction at midday.

The renovated 1930s Queenslander at 36 Annie St, Paddington (above) comes with a disability-friendly water-powered lift and is in the popular Milton State School and Kelvin Grove College catchments.

“It’s attracted mostly young families who really appreciate the flat playable grassy yard,” Ms O’Dea said.

“It’s a very good lifestyle walk to everything, all of the action at both Rosalie Village and Paddington Village.”

To Melbourne where Ray White Mill Park’s Kon Kouvas is excited about the 2pm auction of a renovated three-bedroom home at 17 Henricks Court, Mill Park (above).

“It’s a nice home with a realistic price guide and the owners want to sell,” Mr Kouvas said.

“The great thing is that all the hard work has been done.

"It’s only 22kms from the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, with a price guide of $590,000 to $640,000.”

At 1pm in Melbourne’s Kew East, a home held for more than 25 years by the same family is going to auction through Ray White Balwyn’s Bronwyn Lucas with a price guide of $1.28 million to $1.38 million.

Close to the Yarra River, Willsmere Park, tennis club and golf courses, the 1939 build at 18 Kilby Rd (above) has beautiful art deco features with a modern extension.

“It’s a great family home,” Ms Lucas said.

“The kids can play out the back while you’re cooking in the kitchen.

"Buyers are wanting the location and family amenities.

"The sellers raised their children there and have loved the home with a passion.”

A near-new Hamptons-style townhouse within walking distance of the beach at 8A Elsie Grove, Chelsea (above) is going to auction at 2.30pm through Ray White Carnegie’s Tom Grieve.

“There are only two on the block and this one has its own drive and street frontage,” Mr Grieve said.

“It’s right on the beach, just a short walk away, and those beaches are known as some of the nicest beaches in Melbourne.

"The floorplan has attracted a lot of downsizers as it’s really a one bedroom house on the ground floor with two big bedrooms upstairs for kids who return home or teenagers.”

Mr Grieve has attached a price guide of $890,000 to $950,000.

To Sydney's Castle Hill where a single-level family home at 110 Darcey Rd (above) will go under the hammer at 11am.

“It’s in a prestigious area of Castlewood Estate,” Ray White Castle Hill’s Karl Anthony said.

“The layout is good. People are looking for flexibility in the floorplan, especially in this area.”

The clever open-plan layout offers popular indoor-outdoor entertaining, while there’s also a swimming pool with spa, and a drive-through garage.

Meantime, a family residence on two lots at 59 Cathcart St, Fairfield (above) is also going to auction at 11am through Ray White Cabramatta’s Steven Milovanovic.

A government service has taken over the property, which has a price guide of $700,000.

“Locals looking at the property as a potential duplex site are among the most interested,” Mr Milovanovic said.

The home’s in a quiet street and offers outstanding opportunity for buyers to secure an entry-level property, or for anyone looking at redeveloping.
