IN three weeks, one of Australia’s favourite sporting heroes and a widely acclaimed British portrait photographer will be sharing their inspirational stories with some 3000 agents and brokers at Connect 2018.
On August 13 and 14, members of the White family businesses of Ray White, Loan Market, Wealth Market, Home Now, Living Here, White & Partners and Concierge will gather on the Gold Coast for the hottest real estate event of the year.
For two full days, delegates will attend specialist breakout business sessions and hear from the world’s brightest speakers including Anna Meares OAM and Platon.
Ms Meares is considered to be the greatest Australian cyclist of all time and made Olympic history at Rio 2016 by being the first Australian athlete to have won individual medals at four consecutive Olympic Games.
Aptly, Ms Meares will be appearing on stage at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre to delve into what it means to have the fighting spirit of a champion.
Photographer Platon has produced more than 20 covers for the likes of Rolling Stone, British Vogue, Vanity Fair and GQ.
In 2007, he photographed Vladimir Putin for TIME Magazine which earned him first prize at the World Press Photo Contest.
As the final speaker featuring in a jam-packed agenda, Platon’s presentation is titled - Powerful Portraits: An intimate look at humanity and leadership.
Mr Meares and Platon aren’t naturally associated with real estate, however, their differences are what makes their appearances at Connect 2018 invaluable.

Other notable speakers over the two days include former prime minister John Howard, P!NK drummer Mark Schulman and internationally renowned engineer Dr Jordan Nguyen.
