Rugby royalty lists his Brisbane home

FORMER Wallabies captain Stephen Moore has decided it’s time to sell his near-new inner city contemporary home in Brisbane as the former international says his growing family needs a little more space to kick ball.

Just back from Japan where he was cheering on the Wallabies in their Rugby World Cup campaign, the former player turned pastoralist said he and his wife Courtney truly love their family home at 98 Howard St, Paddington.

“But we need a little more room now we have three children,” Mr Moore said.

In his day job now as the Corporate and Commercial General Manager of the North Australian Pastoral Company, Mr Moore helps run a herd of 200,000 cattle across 14 cattle stations.

“We want a bit more space to kick a ball with the kids. We’ve got a bigger block of land just up the road in Bardon that will be good for us now,” Mr Moore said.

He bought the existing timber house on 405sqm at 98 Howard St, Paddington 10 years ago and then spent two years planning the total build with Courtney to create the contemporary masterpiece it is today.

“One of the biggest drawcards is the view. The house has a picture postcard view of the city skyline as it’s so high here,” said Mr Moore, who retired from international rugby 18 months ago.

“We genuinely love this area. It’s the total lifestyle package as it’s so close to the CBD, close to the best schools and cafes and it’s just a short walk to Suncorp Stadium.”

Ray White New Farm principal Matt Lancashire said the near-new contemporary five bedroom triumph was the result of a collaboration between leading architect Tim Stewart and builder Graya Construction.

The house is for sale via an expressions of interest campaign, closing on November 8 at 5pm, if not sold prior.

“Paddington continues to grow in its popularity. I’ve had a lot of early interest so far,” Mr Lancashire said.
