The top floor apartment of the boutique Royce Court complex in Crows Nest has come on the market for the first time in 15 years with Ray White Lower North Shore’s Sean St Clair.

4/17 Hume St, Crows Nest could potentially be a car enthusiast’s dream, just like current owner Robert Miller, who is president of the Austin A40 Club.

The former owner of the apartment and the building George Sevenoaks was the local Rolls Royce dealer - who was well known for being chauffeured around the area in his large orange Rolls Royce, and the building was believed to have been built in the late 60s.

“Our involvement started early, as my Father was a friend of George, and I recollect visiting the property as a small boy in the 70's. After George died, Dad spotted an ad for the property and said ‘we have to buy this,’” said Robert.

“During the 70's and 80's, it was rumored that the odd expensive toy was hidden in the garage to avoid being part of divorce proceedings,” he added.

The apartment has remained unrenovated, including a 1960s kitchen and plywood cupboards.

“It’s a great two bedroom apartment in a great location, and best of all, with a garage large enough to fit seven cars!” said Ray White agent Sean St Clair.

And Robert hopes the apartment’s next owner appreciates its quirky history.

“We hope that the next owner will maintain the passion and the playfulness that this property has represented for more than 45 years!” he said.
