A FIRST home buyer has paid $691,000 sight unseen for 1091 High Street in Reservoir in one of the last online auctions to take place before Stage Four restrictions came into effect in Melbourne.

The three-bedroom, one-bathroom home was successfully sold under the hammer last night by Ray White Reservoir Senior Sales Agents Matthew Clark and Keb Nguyen.

“The property only went online last Tuesday (28 July) and over the course of the last seven days we had 12 physical inspections and an unmeasurable amount of online inspections,” Mr Clark said.

“The purchaser is a first home buyer who never physically inspected the home, only viewing through the online inspection process, photos and video.

“We know the online auction process works for our vendors, so we’ll continue to go through the online inspection and online auction process as long as needed.

“The auction itself attracted 22 people online and five registered bidders, two of whom were active, and they actively competed before the hammer fell at $691,000 – the vendor is delighted.”
