Ray White TRG boss Gavin Rubinstein has kicked off the new financial year on a very high note.
Not only is the owner of the prestige real estate agency the star of a top rating reality TV show, Luxe Listings Sydney on Amazon Prime showcasing world-class real estate in our iconic city, but he’s sold more than $250 million worth of real estate since February alone. His competitors thought the show was going to be a distraction but they were very wrong.
The dynamic dealmaker is the fastest to reach Elite recognition in NSW, and in residential sales across the entire Ray White network in this new financial year, barely three weeks into the new financial year and in the middle of a lockdown in Sydney.
The super agent settled enough volume in less than two weeks in July to reach Elite status, the recognition bracket reserved for the top three per cent in the leading group which sold a record $75 billion worth of property in 2020-21 in total.
It was a huge year for the founder of Ray White TRG Gavin Rubinstein, who filmed the hit six-part reality TV show Luxe Listings Sydney, which Amazon has just renewed for a second season after the streamer said the reality series became its biggest Australian original released to date.
The show follows the personal lives of Gavin Rubinstein plus two other elite real estate agents in Sydney, showcasing breath taking homes with harbour views and beachfront backdrops.
“Buyer demand is extremely high now. In fact the highest I have seen in my career. Quality stock is selling at extremely high levels. The current lack of supply I believe has been the biggest driver in underpinning prices," Mr Rubinstein said.
“Lockdown has slowed transactions purely because some people have been put off the idea of buyers coming through their homes in unusual times but like all evolving markets we pivot, adapt and overcome.
“Having solutions and ones of substance and focusing on them rather than the problem has been assisting us in getting the deal together.
“There is no doubt that right now is the best time to sell purely based on the fact that buyers have all time record low options in terms of listings and we as agents have all time record high enquiry. A majority of people want to wait until lock down is over to sell, which would suggest there could be increased choice post lockdown potentially flattening the curve on increasing prices.
“My view is to sell now in isolation rather than in competition when lockdown is over. The right professional approach and strategy can navigate through the covid restrictions and if managed correctly can create a successful sale outcome.”
Mr Rubinstein said his team was working so well together. “I am extremely proud of the synergy here and am looking forward to growing once we move into our new premises, we ran out of space in our current premises 12 months in, I am excited to get back on the recruitment front,” he said.
“Currently I am going through the design process for the new outfit and it is going to be special. From a design perspective you can create something amazing with 4m high ceilings! We all can’t wait.”
Ray White Managing Director Dan White said Gavin Rubinstein was now known globally for his high minimum standard of excellence.
“The TRG team is high-energy, highly focused and relentless in going the extra distance for their clients. Gavin has become a great leader which has enabled everyone on the team to chase their potential."
Gavin Rubinstein was the number one salesperson across NSW for the entire Ray White Group from 2013-2019 and then awarded number one principal nationally and internationally in 2020 (his first year as principal). He’s deeply proud of the Associate Directors of the firm; Oliver Lavers, Cae Thomas, Evan Williams and Patrick Cosgrove who all reached Elite status last financial year.
