Ray White Western Australia have announced they are the new major sponsor for local triathlete, Matt Burton.
Matt, who recently turned professional, competes in both half Ironman and Ironman distances and has already won a the Challenge Philippine title as a professional, along with the recent State Championship Olympic Distance Telstra Triathlon in Perth.
“I met Matt when he was a guest speaker at our Top Performers Summit in July – an event exclusive to our Elite salespeople,” said Mark Whiteman, Ray White WA CEO.
“Two things stood out for me – and all the agents who listened to Matt. The first was how much determination, hard work, discipline, commitment and patience Matt’s profession requires, with very minimal financial return.
“The second was the significant role his family has played in his success,” Mark explains.
Seeing a synergy between Matt’s professional journey and real estate, Mark decided to partner with the young athlete.
“Matt’s ‘get up and go’ mentality is similar to the mindset of the most successful real estate agents.
“Family is also a big part of Ray White – we’re still a family-owned company after 113 years and hearing the importance of family in Matt’s life, I instantly saw a connection that could be built upon,” he explains.
Making the decision to sponsor Matt as he continues to make tracks in the professional circuit, Mark says the support goes both ways.
“As we support Matt in his journey, our agents will also benefit with Matt making the commitment to continue as a guest speaker at our network events.”
A local boy from Swan View, Matt races and trains in many communities close to Ray White offices and all over Perth, including the hills, Rockingham, Mandurah, Busselton and our famous coastline along the northern suburbs.
