A real estate industry publication has evaluated and ranked the top real estate sales offices in the nation and West Australian business Ray White Rockingham has topped the list.

Business owners Murray Brown, Jackie Brown and Elsie Corby reported that their 15 salespeople had sold 508 properties in the last financial year.

“I give them leadership but it is up to them. I’m very proud of them,” Mr Brown told Real Estate Business magazine.

Their sales values totalled over $215m and the office was able to sell 98 per cent of the properties they put on the market. This is almost unheard for the majority of real estate businesses in Australia.

“That says to me that customers are taking our advice, and that they moved forward following a decision that we helped them with,” Mr Brown said.

Ray White Group’s chairman Brian White noted that Ray White’s Rockingham ranking at the top, followed by Ray White Glen Waverley’s ranking as second best, was a significant achievement.

“It’s a remarkable industry coup,” Mr White said.

At second place nationally, Ray White Glen Waverley (Victoria) business owner Damian Moore reported that their 14 salespeople had sold 505 properties in the last financial year.

Their key to success is communication with home sellers.

“Our philosophy is very simple; a vendor can only make a decision to accept an offer, be it on auction day or in private sale, if they are well informed as to what is happening in the market,” Mr Moore said.

Mr Moore has replicated the cultural diversity of his local area inside his office. A majority of his staff speak Mandarin. The office also prides itself on its cadet program.

“It’s a starting block for those who join the industry and don’t have any experience,” Mr Moore explained, “We think it’s a recipe for disaster if you enlist a new staff member and say ‘There’s your phone and there’s your desk, good luck’”.

Their sales values totalled over $302m and the office was able to sell every single properties they put on the market.

Ray White was the most mentioned brand in the ranking with Rockhampton QLD (15th), Bankstown NSW (16th), Ferntree Gully VIC (24th), Surfers Paradise QLD (33rd), Cranbourne VIC (35th) and Lower North Shore NSW (44th) making the top 50.

Real Estate Business magazine advises the metrics used focus on scale and sales volume followed by performance and efficiency.
