THE BIDS were flying in at the Ray White Rural NSW online auctions last Friday finishing with all six properties selling under the hammer.

First to go on the auction block was the 875ha Neringah estate (pictured above) owned by the first family of Portaloos, Malcolm and Raylee Williams.

The mixed opportunity Boorowa property sold for $6.65 million after half an hour of frenzied bidding from eager buyers. The winning bidder was an Australian family entity from outside the local area.

Sold through Ray White Rural NSW State Manager Chris Malone who said the result was no surprise after a campaign that saw strong interest from start to finish.

Mr Malone also said the campaign attracted 38 individual inspections, seven second inspections and resulted in 13 registered bidders tuning into the auction.

“Bidding opened at $5 million after 14 bids Neringah sold well above reserve,” Mr Malone said.

“The property is a unique asset and we were overwhelmed by the enquiry we received as well as how far reaching that enquiry was.”

Following on from Neringah were four Tenterfield properties at 11032 Bruxner Highway sold for $347,000, 1158 Bruxner Highway sold for $705,000, 68 Ross Road at $650,000 and 88 Bulwer Street netted $101,000.

The final lot on the order of sale was 65 Emmerton Drive, Goulburn which sold for $465,000 by Ray White NSW Chief Auctioneer Alex Pattaro.

Ray White Rural & Livestock Managing Director Stephen Nell said the results on Friday prove that there is still confidence in the market.

“It was a very positive result and just a reflection of the skill of our operators in what’s been a difficult time,” Mr Nell said.

“I’m grateful to the owners who have recognised that skill and chosen to go with Ray White and in the end it’s paid off for them.

“I would say to people thinking about selling that there is no evidence to put that decision off. If anything, they should be erring on the side of selling now.”
