IT’S BEEN two weeks since auctions transitioned to the digital space and Ray White Mt Gravatt are setting the pace for under the hammer success with a perfect April campaign clearance rate. The office has sold five from five homes over the past fortnight, a 100% success rate for their auction campaigns.
Last week the three bedroom family home at 421 Newnham Rd, Upper Mt Gravatt sold under the hammer through the office by sales agent Andrew Boman for $540,000. The two and a half week auction campaign drew in strong interest from first home buyers and savvy investors.
“We had approximately 30 groups through the property who were attracted to the good location in a school catchment and the recent renovations done to the home,” Mr Boman said.
The auction called by Ray White selling principal and auctioneer Grant Boman attracted 10 registered bidders with three actively participating. The winning bidder, local buyer Dave Dickson said he wasn’t daunted by the ‘new normal’ auction process.
“We were very excited, there was still that bit of an adrenaline rush waiting for the hammer to crash down but it was a good experience and the second online auction we had been to,” Mr Dickson said. |
