IN a week where children would be searching for Easter eggs in their backyards, it seemed the hunt for property was very much on in Australia’s capital, as auction campaigns ticked over the $5,000,000 mark for Ray White Canberra.

The highlight of the online auction show was last night, where Ray White Canberra Sales Consultant Kate Coultas orchestrated the $783,5000 sale of 19 Khull Crescent (above) in Kambah, as the property attracted a whopping nine registered bidders.

“This property generated a huge amount of interest during the 19-day campaign with many demographics looking at what was an incredible opportunity,” Ms Coultas said.

“The property was on a large 1,277sq m block, was beautifully renovated and backed on to a reserve – it’s fair to say a home like this only comes to market once every 20 years.

“We wholeheartedly believe in the online auction process and we invited vendors who have current live online auction campaigns to watch – and we had more than 80 viewers at one stage.

“It was a terrific auction with eight of the nine registered actively bidding and the home sold for more than $50,000 over its reserve price.

“The competition for this one shows bidders and buyers are still very active in the market right now – and they will continue to compete for the right property.”

The other under the hammer sale of the night saw 16 Sculptor Street in Giralang (below), managed by Ray White Canberra Sales Consultant Phyllis Tidmarch and Sales Associate Kai Carbine, sell for $745,000.

Ray White Canberra Executive Director, Ben Faulks, said the results his team continued to generate was down to hard work and their ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment.

“We’ve essentially changed our entire process from on-site and in-room auctions to online, pretty much overnight, and the team has been absolutely superb,” Mr Faulks said.

“Providing the best service and achieving the best price for our vendors is in our veins and we believe the fundamentals of Ray White auctioneering still remain today, 118 years on.”

Also sold successfully under the hammer earlier this week was 10 Leighton Street in Pearce for $1,076,000 and 37/85 Crozier Circuit in Kambah for $685,000 – 40 Arthur Blakeley Way in Coombs sold prior for $535,000 - and 33 Barada Crescent in Aranda also sold prior.
