Would you walk for 24 hours for a good cause? The inspiring team at Ray White Broome did just that. Starting with a goal to raise $2,000 to support Cancer Council's research, prevention and support services, the team “Little Rays of Sunshine” contributed more than $2,650 to the almost $50,000 raised by the local community.

The eager and happy team of 11 started their walk at 11:00am Saturday and walked through the night, not stopping until 11:00am the following day. Team member Andrew Dwyer came third for amount of funds raised by an individual and said, “I was shattered after the event. It was absolutely exhausting, but it was definitely worth it.”

At the end of the 24 hour marathon effort, the Little Rays of Sunshine were also awarded fifth place for the amount of funds raised by a team.

A wonderful effort by the team, who have really made an impact in the local community and provided an opportunity to recognise and celebrate those who have overcome cancer or are undergoing treatment, as well as the people who care for them.

Ray White CEO, Mark Whiteman was full of praise for the team, “We are extremely proud of the Ray White Broome team for so many reasons and here in the Relay For Life event we see them shine again”.
