The step daughter of the first Ray White franchisee is opening the doors to Ray White Broadway today.

“My step father, Max Collins, owned the first Ray White franchise in Toowoomba. He’s had a long career in real estate and always said to me if I ever chose to join a franchise group, that Ray White was the best.

“I had the opportunity to meet Brian White at a function and that experience was a major factor in my decision to make the move. I was so impressed with his values, leadership and vision,” Alvie Lin, selling principal of Ray White Broadway said.

The office will launch today with the Chinese tradition of lion dancing.

“Lion dance originated from China more than two thousand years ago during the Han dynasty. According to traditional Chinese belief, the lion signifies courage, stability and superiority.

“It is a Chinese tradition to have lion dancing during business openings and special events to honour guests as the dance symbolises prosperity and abundance. We’re having lion dance at our office launch this week to honour our guests and to bring courage, stability, superiority, prosperity and abundance to our business,” Alvie explains.

A market dominated by Asian investors, Alvie says that prices in the Broadway and Ultimo area are picking up.

“Our office focusses on residential and commercial sales and leasing. We’re definitely seeing prices on the rise, especially in the commercial sector.

“As an area made up of around 70 per cent investors and high rental yields, competition among buyers is increasing as people try to get into the market,” Alvie said.

Ray White welcomes Alvie and the experience she brings to the Group.

“It’s no secret that Ray White is heavily involved in the Chinese investment market. Alvie is ingrained in the Chinese-Australian community in the Broadway area and we are thrilled that she made the decision to align her business with the Ray White family.

“We look forward to working with Alvie to grow a strong and sustainable business,” Stephen Nell, Ray White NSW CEO said.

Alvie operated as an independent agency before making the decision to join the Ray White Group and her ambition is clear: to be the best.

“The everyday stresses of operating an independent agency are greatly reduced through the services, support and resources Ray White offer our business. I’ve got big ideas and my goal is to be the best and most respected agency in the area,” Alvie concludes.
