Sourcing information on building, buying, selling or renting a property in Queensland has just been made easier, thanks to a state government initiative which has consolidated information about housing on its website.
The scheme aims to channel a range of different housing information sources from government departments and other sources to make the process of researching quicker.
Having all this information at one central location will help residents to find information about rental properties, land title searches or information about electrical safety in the home - all on the one website.
Minister for housing and public works Bruce Flegg introduced the homes and housing section of the Queensland government website today (September 5).
"The site draws information from several government departments and includes information on building, buying, owning, renting or selling a home, emergency accommodation and homelessness," Mr Flegg said.
The new addition to the website aims to further improve the service available to Queenslanders.
More than 120 members of the public participated in the research phase of the project to find out what type of housing information and services interested them, he said.
Queenslanders may find the answers to their questions about housing with the help of this service.
