PHILANTHROPIST couple Neville and Pamela Burrows have put their harbourside ‘Vue Magnifique’ home on the market through Ray White Kiama Director Michele Lay.
With an asking price of $3.15 million to $3.465 million, the beautiful 4 bedroom or 3 bedroom and media room residence, with study overlooks the white sands of Bombo Beach and out towards the South Pacific ocean.
They will also be including all furniture, goods and chattels on a walk-in walk-out basis.
Mr Burrows is a well known Sydney-based developer and businessman, receiving an Order of Australia medal in 2010 for his charitable contributions to The Salvation Army, Youth Off the Streets and initiatives in Africa among others.
The pair purchased the 552sqm land 15 years ago and transformed the cliff point hideaway into a sophisticated and contemporary home using local craftsmanship and premium materials.
Mrs Burrows said the property was designed by Bishop, Hitchcock and Irwin Architects and the impressive curved staircase was built by local boat builder Peter Rein.
“When we commissioned the architects to build ‘Vue Magnifique’, we knew what we wanted and the curved stairway was part of the vision but we needed to get a boat builder in due to the unique design,” Mrs Burrows said.
The Burrows plan to split their time between their 2ha rural property in Goulburn and something closer to their family in Canberra with the couple saying they came to the decision to move on.
“What we would like to say to the new owners is ‘what a lovely house you are going to be living in and we hope you enjoy as much as we do,” Mrs Burrows said.
“We do have a bit of sadness but I hope they get as much fun and enjoyment out of it as we did - it is just a beautiful house for entertaining.”
The Ray White Kiama Director, Michele Lay, said the area has always been a safe, charming coastal village and expects ‘Vue Magnifique’ to have no shortage of potential buyers.
“The Pheasant Point precinct in Kiama has always been highly sought after because of its proximity to Kiama township, Kiama Harbour, cafes, restaurants, markets. It’s also just 2 hours south of Sydney and 20 minutes south of Albion Park regional airport,” Ms Lay said.
“It is the gateway to Jervis Bay, Shoalhaven wineries, Berry and the Southern Highlands.”
