The four bedroom contemporary property is now being marketed for sale by Ray White Paddington elite agent Judi O’Dea to be auctioned onsite on February 16, 2018 at 10am.

“We searched for a long time to find our home, so it is with a heavy heart that we are leaving but I grew up on the Sunshine Coast and an opportunity came up at work to move there so we are off,” said Mr Watson, who is the Queensland manager for a national wine wholesaler.

“There has been plenty of Louis Roederer Cristal poured on the deck that’s for sure.”

The home is a gentle walk to popular cafes and restaurants, Rosalie deli, cinema, butchers, school, kindergarten, parks, transport and shops.

The build includes high-end and timeless finishes including French Oak floors, New York marble and integrated Euro appliances.

Mr Watson said the house had “an enormous big downstairs area and we have always been able to fit everyone in really easily. There’s a living or rumpus room which heads into the back covered deck onto the grass".

“It’s truly set up for Queensland living with inside and outside living," he said.

“It’s got four bi-fold doors along the kitchen and the living room so it opens right up so it’s all inside and outside living.

“Everything is oversized as the builder was well over 6ft tall so he built everything big and tall. There’s a huge amount of space.

“We love the house and just wish we could pick it up and drop it in Noosa as we are actively looking and there is nothing this finely crafted up there.

“This house is very close to Frew Park and Milton State School plus all the great cafes. There’s at least three parks within walking distance with a very gentle slope which is important when you have twins in a pram! It’s been a great suburb to live in and it’s very close to the city.”

Ray White Paddington elite agent Judi O’Dea said the two-level Queenslander on a 508sq m block was on “arguably Auchenflower's best street”.

“The house has been designed to cater for our modern way of life with a generous floor plan that perfectly blends traditional charm with contemporary style,” Ms O’Dea said.

“This contemporary family home offers living options that are extremely rare.”

The upper level of 16 Thomas Street boasts luxe finishes such as wide French Oak floorboards, a striking New York marble splash back, high ceilings and French and bi-fold doors and windows throughout.

Downstairs is an almost fully self-contained level, with three large bedrooms, including the well-appointed master bedroom with a large walk-in-robe and lavish ensuite, the family bathroom which comes complete with a free-standing bath, a separate laundry and a second lounge area.
