The strengthening property market in Jindabyne has opened up an opportunity for long-time residents, Joan and Peter Bird to expand on their already successful property management business, Snow Escape Holidays.

The doors to Ray White Jindabyne opened on 3 March 2014.

“I’ve lived in Jindabyne for 24 years and we’re definitely seeing a strengthening market. This month, the median house price in Jindabyne rose to $515,000, an increase of $125,000 compared to the same time last year. That’s a lot of movement for a small country town.”

Joan attributes a booming population as a major factor in the strength of the property market.

“We are seeing a younger demographic move into the area with more than half of the local population under 35 years old.

“We know that 58 per cent of properties in Jindabyne are owner-occupied. Younger people are competing in the market.”

Joan made the decision to expand after receiving a boost of confidence from market leaders.

“I was approached by Ray White to open an office in the area. The marketplace in Jindabyne is competitive and I was humbled that Brian White and the Ray White family believed in me.”

“It is an extremely exciting time for real estate in Jindabyne and this is the perfect time for me to bring the Ray White know-how to the local community,” Ms Bird concludes.

Jindabyne is a key marketplace for the Ray White group.

“Growth is the key to success for our company and Joan brings us the first opportunity to build a strong position in a property market with huge potential,” says Stephen Nell, CEO Ray White NSW.
