This four-bedroom, Bali-inspired resort home in Hillarys’ Harbour Rise development offers grand tropical living in one of Perth’s finest estates.

When he built it 13 years ago, the property’s vendor and owner of Perth-based builders, Norfolk Homes, Norman Graves modelled the home on his holiday resort in Bali.

“We love the Bali influence so we incorporated the resort living feel. We did a lot of research and imported Balinese materials and incorporated them into the build,” Mr Graves said, describing coconut poles, Balinese cornices and a resort-style design of the backyard pool and cabana.

Nestled only two streets from the beach and Hillarys’ Marina, Mr Graves described 12 Mallorca Ave as incredibly quiet and private, with bushland or open land front and rear.

“The backyard is quite stunning. It has established equatorial-inspired gardens and a large outdoor-indoor alfresco area which opens out onto a tropical pool with integrated cabana,” he said.

“A series of six bi-fold doors open through the house and into the backyard area which is beautifully protected from the Fremantle Doctor.”

The flowing design creates a very spacious internal area and incorporates an open plan kitchen, dining and family living area, he added.

The property also features three bathrooms, two car spaces, a theatre, home office and ochre-rendered walls in the traditional Balinese style.

“We’re selling because our children are all grown up and we’re downsizing so we can spend more time in Bali,” said Mr Graves.

Speaking of the future owners, he added: “They will love the resort feel.”

And it’s a resort lifestyle close to the city, with the Perth CBD a comfortable 20-25 minute drive away.

“There is plenty of public transport with the train five minutes away and buses throughout the area,” said selling agent, Daryl Green from Ray White North Quays.

“It’s a beautiful coastal setting right next to the Hillarys Marina, Hillarys Yacht Club and lots of restaurants,” said Mr Green.

“There’s a coffee strip around the corner and the large Whitford City shopping centre is only five minutes away.”

As part of the development, Harbour Rise is a speciality suburb where all the houses are under 15 years old.

The property will be sold by private treaty and all offers are being presented to the vendors.
