Inner city oasis making a splash

Sky News presenter and columnist for The Courier Mail Peter Gleeson has listed his classic Queenslander in Brisbane’s inner north with plans to move back to the Gold Coast.
Peter and Venesa Gleeson and their three children have lived at 34 Isedale St, Wooloowin since 2015.
“It’s a true classic Queenslander and it’s absolutely like an oasis just 6kms from the city centre. It feels like your own private resort,” Mr Gleeson said.
“It’s almost got an amphitheatre in the yard by the look of the palm trees which create the perfect privacy screen. It actually feels like you could be in Fiji or Tahiti.”
The house was built in 1920 and the family has renovated it extensively.
“It ticks all the boxes and we have loved our time here but we miss the beach and we’re keen to move back to the Gold Coast,” Mr Gleeson said.
The five bedroom double story home is equipped with not one but two huge home offices.
It’s perfect for couples who both work from home and there’s multiple living areas for the kids to play in.
Ray White Ascot Principal Dwight Ferguson said the immaculate family haven with two bathrooms, two studies and five bedrooms over two levels was already drawing huge attention since going live online.
“It’s got it all. This is the house that every family is looking for and it’s also been getting a lot of love online so far. It’s been meticulously renovated and enhanced with technological inclusions. It’s the perfect suburban lifestyle but only 10 minutes to the CBD.”
“It’s like a safe haven on 810sqm, which is rare to find these days in Wooloowin. All the living space is downstairs too which is great for families. It’s a blue chip suburb too of the inner north.”
The upper level boasts timber floors, fretwork, breezeways and new chandeliers plus a central lounge and a second living area adjoining a bedroom, bathroom and expansive timber deck.
