The Surfers Paradise Group received top honours at the Ray White Group’s state award ceremony, being named the number one office in Queensland and the top office internationally.

“This is an accolade Surfers Paradise have frequently achieved in their history. Being named the number one office in the state is a highly respected position amongst all of our 170 offices in Queensland. To take out the number one position in the state as well as internationally is an enormous achievement,” says Tony Warland, CEO Ray White Queensland.

Agent, Michael Willems of the Surfers Paradise Group received the award for number one sales agent in the Queensland network of over 1,150 sales agents and the number three international sales performer. Ray White operate in New Zealand, Indonesia, India, China, Singapore and the USA.

“Michael has consistently been a top performing agent for our network which is a testament to his ongoing commitment to Ray White and to his local community. To be in the top-echelon of the state requires a constant contribution to the community week in - week out,” Mr Warland explains.

Gold Coast dominated the top performing agents and offices in the state with Broadbeach, Robina, Runaway Bay and Mermaid Beach being named in the top 20 franchises. Sam Guo (Broadbeach), Amir Mian (Runaway Bay), Jose St Ange (Surfers Paradise Group) and Matt Gates (Surfers Paradise Group) were also named in the top 20 performers in the state.

Ray White Broadbeach were recognised for sales growth and named sales team of the year. Excellence in auction awards were received by the Surfers Paradise Group and Sam Guo (Ray White Broadbeach).

Jared Hodge of Coolangatta, Tweed Heads, Palm Beach and Burleigh Waters offices was named Principal of the Year.

“These awards not only recognise the extraordinary success that offices throughout the Gold Coast have made over the past year, but also acknowledge their ambition as we move into 2014,” says Peter Camphin, CEO Ray White Queensland.

Gary Gannon (Mermaid Beach) was recognised for 25 years service, Julian Sutherland (Surfers Paradise Group) for 20 years service and Carita Lanham, Susan Lett and Awards Paul Collins (all from Surfers Paradise Group) for 10 years service.

“These tenure awards are a celebration of our greatest asset - our people, ” Mr Camphin said.

The awards were presented in front of a record crowd 1,100 real estate professionals. It was the first time in ten years the Ray White Queensland annual awards have been held in a new venue, the Royal International Convention Centre.

It was also the first time an award has been presented based on customer rankings.
