“We had 10 registered bidders on the night, five of whom were active, and that helped drive the on-the-market price of $740,000 up to the final sale price,” Mr Clarke said.
“The campaign had already been running for three weeks, and having kept up to date with the Government announcements, we made a late call to bring the auction forward.
“We knew from feedback it was going to be a good auction and we worked tirelessly to ensure everyone who inspected was made aware and the competition was clear to see.
“In the end the lucky winning bidders were first home buyers, who joined the auction late, and secured the property with a final $500 bid.”
And the highlight was in The Basin, where Ray White Sales Consultant Michael Nguyen and Sales Consultant and Auctioneer Rene Mawad managed the $1,330,000 sale of 6 Norman Street (pictured below) – a whopping $230,000 over the reserve price. |
