The pictures tell the story.

The vendors of the superb 139 Ridge Street are justifiably proud of their super human renovation of this original home in Northgate, Brisbane.

Ray White Aspley agent Dwight Colbert has been witness to this transformation, having handed over the keys to the new owners in 2018.

"The home was originally owned by a delightful lady in her 90s," said Mr Colbert."It had three bedrooms, and one bathroom - but it was in a fabulous street. Grace had changed very little in the house since she bought it new, she had been the only owner of the house up to that point."

The land had been zoned LMR, which opened the door to developers to put townhouses or units on the block. When the eventual new owners saw the house, and realised what might happen to the spirit of Grace's home, they bought the property.

"Far from returning the house it it's former glory, the new owners transformed the house, retaining it's Queenslander spirit but bringing it to a new century," said Mr Colbert.

The renovation was all encompassing, and what was once a compact home, is now a four bedroom, three bathroom home the flows across three zones.

The living area on the ground floor is open plan, with designated lounge and dining areas including a formal lounge with a feature designer fireplace. From here people easily move through to the outside entertaining zone, with fully landscaped gardens and sparkling pool.

The upper level holds all the accomodation, with the trip up to that level an absolute delight in staircase design. The master bath light years from the original of Grace's era.

The home is open to expressions of interest that closes rather romantically at 5pm on December 31. What a way to start the new year.
