IN the final months of 2021,, it’s clear that Ray White auction metrics haven’t taken a tumble despite restrictions, rolling lockdowns and more stock on the market.
Over the past financial year, the Ray White Melbourne market has been the leader in auction volume, despite a fifth and sixth lockdown taking up much of that time. Ray White offices in Victoria’s capital scheduled a total of 1,987 auctions but were closely followed by Ray White Sydney which booked 1,983 auctions. In every auction market, Ray White increased its volume of auctions in comparison to the same time last year.Meanwhile, Adelaide topped the leaderboard for most average registered bidders - hitting double digits with 10 per auction. The South Australian capital also topped the clearance rate list with 87 per cent of all auctions selling under the hammer. Sydney came in second with 83 per cent while Melbourne was third at 79 per cent. The area with the highest number of average active bidders was in line with internal migration numbers from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, which found that many Australians are making the move to Queensland. The Ray White Gold Coast and Brisbane markets both recorded 4.3 active bidders on average per auction, however, Sydney also reached the same amount, showing that the Australian migration to the sunshine state hasn’t left the New South Wales capital uninhabited.COMPETITION CREATORS - RAY WHITE'S WEEKLY AUCTION DATAFOR MORE REAL-TIME PROPERTY INSIGHTS READ THE RAY WHITE NOW REPORT HERE.This Saturday’s auction highlightsThe Ray White Group has 322 properties scheduled to go under the hammer across the country this Saturday.
