Paul and Cheryl Leuzzi have put their lifelong dream home on the market for the very first time since they completed building 18 years ago with Ray White Thornleigh.
After purchasing the large 2,645sqm block more than 20 years ago, 7 Dewberry Way, Castle Hill is on the market for Auction on 21 November.
The home once completed, featured in Home Beautiful magazine in 1997, and Paul labelled it their family’s dream home.
“All those years ago, I was looking for property we could build our dream home on, and this was it,” he said.
“This particular acreage when we saw it we fell in love,” he said adding that it reminded him of a childhood in Italy when his family used to take him to the Alps.
“We loved that feeling, and affectionately named our home ‘Artegna' which is a part of the Alps,” he said.
Thanks to a love for the arts, the home and architecture was designed by Paul and Cheryl who, with the process taking two and a half years to complete.
According to Paul the foundations alone form a hard solid block and cost almost as much as the house did.
“It’s like a castle, it’ll live forever this place,” he said.
The couple ensured they included all the luxuries that they wanted in a home, such as a home theatre, sauna and spa, and all the technology that was available at the time. To this day there are few homes that compare with what has been put in it.
“The property is perfect for entertaining and offers an open plan lifestyle in one of Sydney’s most attractive suburbs,” said selling principal Dion Verzeletti.
Castle Hill is indeed a suburb that the Leuzzis don’t plan on leaving.
“What’s next for us is we are downsizing, as we want the next part of our lives to be more low key and more about us, but we definitely will not be moving out of Castle Hill, we love it here.”
