A HUGE 52 registered bidders played their part in what was an exceptional online auction as Mount Burrell’s ‘diamond in the rough’ sold hundreds of thousands over its reserve price with the hammer eventually falling at $2,000,000 at 3222 Kyogle Road (below).

"This was an outstanding online auction - to attract 52 registered bidders is almost unheard of - and every single one of them were bidding online away from the in-room," said Ray White NSW Chief Auctioneer Alex Pattaro (above).

"Rural auctions as a whole are going incredibly well and we're seeing some exceptional sales - this result is testament to just how important competition is to achieve the best price.

"We're seeing properties sail through their reserve price time and time again and there can be no doubt the time to list and sell your property is now."

The property was marketed and sold by Ray White Rural Murwillumbah Principal Brad Franks and Sales Agent Stewart Baericke.

"It was a fantastic campaign that attracted an extraordinary amount of interest - I have to pay tribute to my team for the support throughout and commend the response we received thanks to a strong marketing plan," Mr Franks said.

"We ensured we followed up with every lead we were able to generate and that ensured more than half the people who inspected actually registered to bid.

"The rural property market is buoyant right now. More than ever people are looking to move away from the big smoke and onto acreage - tranquility is highly desired at the moment."
